Truth’s freedom
And you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:32,36
Verse Reflections: I am so ready to be free. I know the truth. I know that I should be eating healthy foods to protect the gorgeous tabernacle God has created in my body. Christ has given us power beyond law, rules, diets. He has left us with the Holy Spirit that lives inside us. We are free, we are free indeed and yet over and over we keep acting like we do not know the truth. Over and over we act like we do not have the power to make the changes that we need to make. We have all the power we need deep inside of us and the more we use it the closer to our hearts it becomes. We are already free from temptations. We are already free from the power of this excess weight, of the unhealthy eating habits. We just have to live it. We just have to live free indeed. It is not just about breaking free from physical struggles but also from the lies that keep us bound to unhealthy patterns. The truth that Jesus speaks about is not just intellectual knowledge but the deep, transformative truth the power He hosts. Satan is the author of lies, he makes us believe that we do not have enough power to change our habits. He makes us believe that we should feel guilt, shame, and that we should depend on our own self-reliance. These are lies. Our truth is our identity in Him.When the Son sets us free, we are no longer slaves to cravings, emotional eating, or self-condemnation. Instead, we are empowered to walk in freedom, knowing that we are loved, valued, and strengthened by God. As we embrace this truth, our health journey becomes an act of worship, a response to the freedom and grace we’ve received through Christ. Today we are going to eat God foods and believe in the truth that we can and we will with Christ.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for the freedom I have in You. I confess that I’ve often believed lies that keep me bound to unhealthy habits and negative thinking. Help me to know Your truth more deeply and to live in the freedom that comes from You. I know the truths that I need to embrace. I know that I need to eat Your foods, natural foods. I know that I have the power to eat healthy. Trample the lies that satan tries to get me to believe. You have enlightened me with so many powerful verses that promise me over and over that You have the power to change me. I claim this truth. I claim the truth that if I eat Your foods I will feel full. I claim the truth that when I eat Your foods my body is more healthy. I claim the truth that when I eat Your foods my aches and pain go away. I know that these truths will make me free indeed. Strengthen me to make choices that honor You and reflect Your love for me. Thank You for setting me free.
