Victory

With God we will gain the victory, He will trample our enemies. Psalm 60:12

Verse Reflections: There are no ifs ands or buts in this verse. With GOD we WILL gain the victory! How many times do we have doubt? How many times do we wonder if we will be successful? How many times do we throw our hands up in frustration when our hard work seems to disappear with one bad week? God has promised us that He will trample our enemies. Satan uses these very qualities to get us to give up. Meanwhile, God is up in heaven trampling him while Satan uses our own self-doubt to make us doubt God’s power. So, claim this verse, memorize this verse and proclaim it when you doubt your journey!  So what if you have a temporary setback. Are you making progress? Then proclaim Psalm 60:12. Are You choosing God foods? Then shout Psalm 60:12. Are you eliminating your cravings? Then claim the victory. Now work on your portion sizes and be patient. God is trampling on your enemy. Our enemy. We just need to keep on working hard on our changes. God WILL gain the victory.

Prayer: Oh Father, I come to You begging for You to make this verse a reality in my life. It is time for You to gain the victory. I have tried and failed. I am not powerful enough to beat the enemy of overeating and the power of food in my life. I love the idea of You taking over and trampling my enemy. I feel so weak, so ridiculous admitting that food and the power of food can be my enemy. I feel so strong in most areas of my life. I run ½ marathons, run a successful business with 35 employees, am not tempted by drugs, cigarettes or alcohol, have tons of friends and yet, I am constantly fighting the desire to eat deserts, cheese, carbs… What is wrong with me? I lift my hands in surrender to You and claim this promise. I am going to memorize this verse and claim it. I have already heard Your voice reveal to me that with You I can win this fight and now this verse confirms that reality. I am going to make this verse by new mantra.
